Achievements in Science Experience Facilities

Congrès Inc. manages and operates six science museums throughout Japan (Tokyo, Yokohama, Chiba, Kobe, Niigata, Yamanashi) in addition to the directly operated science experience facility “IMAGINUS,” which utilizes a former elementary school in Tokyo.
We organize self-planned events in collaboration with local community members at each facility and offer our proprietary “Programming Classes.” Through the management and operation of these facilities, we are committed to regional revitalization and nurturing the next generation.

Community Collaborative Events

Hamagin Space Science Center

“The Yokodai Science Club,” jointly operated by Hamagin Space Science Center and the Yokodai Town Development Council, collaborates to host events like “Join the One-Day Play Park!” during summer vacations at Yokodai Station Front Park adjacent to the museum. This event combines the museum’s independent research activities with the club’s classes. Local residents and university students on internships participate in operating the event, thus promoting intergenerational exchange and fostering community engagement.

Itabashi Science & Education Hall

With the cooperation of TANITA Corporation, a comprehensive health company headquartered in Itabashi Ward, a “Science of the Body: Experience and Explore Health” exhibition was held. The exhibition featured displays on the work and history of Tanita’s founder, Mr. Iwaji Tanida, as well as original games played with characters generated from data obtained through technology for measuring body composition. Visitors also had the opportunity to experience the latest equipment firsthand.

Expansion of Programming Classes

Hosting Programming Classes in Various Facilities

Since April 2020, programming education has become compulsory in elementary schools in Japan. The demand for programming-related events is very high at the six national science museums managed and operated by Congrès as designated administrator. We have organized the classes at many facilities, including the “Programming Education Fair 2019” held at Port Messe Nagoya.

Collaboration with Other Companies

IMAGINUS

Participating in the online project “Oshigoto Kengaku” by H.I.S. Co., Ltd., aimed at providing children with a wide range of career options and enhancing their knowledge in a fun and informative way. Congrès’ employees introduced the role of a programmer to approximately 30 children nationwide from the IMAGINUS video studio.

Collaboration with Congrès’ Designated Administrator Facilities
